
These colorful birds are made out of post-natural-disaster wood. Did you know that during the process of wood creation, trees sequester carbon?
Yes, they do. They get it from our atmosphere as a gas (CO2) and during the photosynthesis they transform that carbon into wood! Isn’t that amazing?
By not burning wood, and instead creating art using post-natural-disaster wood, I try to avoid the release of that carbon to the atmosphere again. A small and colorful piece of sustainable art 🙂
